We had the pleasure of hosting Olympic Medal Winner Aidan Walsh as part of the ‘Dare to Believe Programme’. A true gentleman. Aidan won a Bronze medal in Boxing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Aidan shared his experience and his Oympic journey with us. His fantastic achievement inspired us all. We even got to hold his Olympic medal! Our pupils were prepared with questions they wanted to ask and they gained great insight into what it takes to become an Olympic champion. We chatted about training, hard work, teamwork and also about his keen interest in fishing. We presented Aidan with a Carlingford Knights jersey kindly donated by Jack Redpath. We would like to thank Aidan for travelling to our school and taking the time to share his experience with us.
